Grahame Guilford and Company was established in 2007 and comprises Dr Grahame Guilford and Andrew Guilford. It provides a range of business and management consultancy services within the Healthcare, Engineering and Digital sectors including business planning, financial and operational planning and funding and has also worked in a consultancy capacity with Welsh Government and the University sector in Wales.
Grahame Guilford has a degree and PhD in Chemistry and nearly 40 years of experience working in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors in Wales. This includes 30 years in the private sector with Amersham International, now part of GE Healthcare, together with extensive economic development experience with the former Welsh Development Agency and, latterly, Welsh Government. As part of this work, he chaired Welsh Government’s Advisory Panel on Life Sciences and Healthcare and was involved in the planning, establishment and initial management of the Life Sciences Hub in Cardiff Bay.
He has also worked with, and advised, Welsh Government on the use of European Structural Funds and on Regional Development, and has authored, or co-authored reports for Welsh Government in this area. He has also worked closely with the University sector in Wales, particularly Cardiff and Swansea and was closely involved with the development of Swansea University’s Bay campus.
During his time in the private sector, he worked in Senior Management, Research and Development, Business Development, Manufacturing and Sales and Marketing roles with extensive international experience in the US, Europe, Japan, Russia and China.
Andrew Guilford has a degree in History and experience in a range of media. He has 11 years’ experience in Economic Development in Wales in areas including European Structural Funds, Regional Development and Healthcare. This has involved the production of a wide range of research-based reports and articles and a wide range of communication methodologies including websites and social media.
